| Technology Brief |
ENERTRAG and ZAFFRA (a Topsoe/Sasol joint venture) are constructing a facility to produce over 30,000 tons of eSAF annually from 2030, covering ~25% of Germany’s ReFuelEU obligation. Green hydrogen (from regional renewables) and biogenic CO₂ (from LEIPA) are converted via Fischer-Tropsch synthesis into climate-neutral aviation fuel (>90% CO₂ reduction). Hydrogen supply is secured through the Gascade pipeline network and on-site electrolysis.
