June 2014, biofuels digest: In Michigan, a federal appeals court has ruled that the DOE did indeed sufficiently investigate the potential environmental impacts of the proposed Frontier Renewable Resources wood waste-to-ethanol plant, but the point is moot because Valero has pulled out as lead investor and the project is basically dead.
